Receptionist

Description:The Receptionist will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Tribal Administration office. Along with perform a variety of duties such as greeting visitors, answering telephones and various clerical tasks related to Tribal office.
Duties:Although other duties may be assigned, the essential duties include the following:

Screen and direct incoming phone calls and take accurate messages.

Greet Tribal Members and guest and assist them with their request.

Process and sort incoming and outgoing mail.

Assist with ordering supplies and inventory of supplies and equipment.

Communicate with staff to maximize services and efficiency.

Assist the public and staff inquires with customer service.

Regularly file, monitor and evaluate paperwork and computerized operations.

Type and proofread a variety of materials and type a variety of correspondences.

Assist in maintaining Tribal Member files for changes of address, per cap deductions, and direct deposits.

Help coordinate and distribute Tribal member, enrollment, education and health insurance request.
Assist with various duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications:High School Diploma or Equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

2 years’ experience operating standard office equipment and a solid knowledge of Standard office practices and procedures.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Ability to complete delegated work assignments.

Deal with difficult situations with maturity at all times.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to organize workload in order to meet deadlines.
Ability to handle highly confidential materials.

Able to multi-task and work with standard office equipment.
Handle high volumes telephone with an excellent phone etiquette.

Provide superior customer service skills

Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Computer literate in MS word, Excel, WP 6.1 and Windows software.
Must be neat in appearance with a customer service attitude

REQUIRED

A current California Drivers License or California Identification
